Sponsors & Exhibitors
On behalf of the organising committee, Dr Kuban Naidoo, Professor Juan Scribante & Professor Shahed Omar, we invite all trade companies to participate in the upcoming 2020 congress, themed ‘Seeing the bigger picture’.
The congress is the ideal platform to learn, exchange ideas, network and to strengthen the relationships built over the years. In the end, it is about providing the best care for our patients. We are able to do this by what we learn at the congress, and we are only able to host this congress with the continued support of you, our trade partner.
About the society
The Critical Care Society of Southern Africa (CCSSA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to delivering appropriate, quality health care to the critically ill.
Founded in 1970, the CCSSA represents doctors, nurses and allied health practitioners working together in the field of critical care medicine. Affiliated societies, such as the South African Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (SASPEN) and the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Group (CPRG), as well as special interest groups, such as ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) are also represented and supported by the Society.
The CCSSA provides professional development; research; guidelines; protocols; accreditation; training; conferences and seminars to its members.
Patient advocacy is an integral focus of the Society and to this end, information and resources are made available to patients and their families on all aspects of critical care, both within and outside of the ICU.
Who will attend the congress
All people involved in critical care in South Africa, Southern Africa and other interested internationals. The Congress starts on Thursday 23 July 2020 and concludes on Sunday 26 July 2020. We anticipate and are looking to attract between 600 – 800 delegates to the Congress.
